The Royal 3rd Birthday Party

Our daughters 3rd birthday came and went so fast but she has a really fab party and loved getting all her princess presents.  Just thought I would share a few photos of her Royal Birthday Party.

Sorry if these two photos are a little rubbish.  I was in such a rush to take them as little hands where eyeing up all the sweet treats.

The birthday cake was my 4th attempt after each cake got stuck in the cake pans.  Then I finally got this one out,  left it on the counter top and my daughter took a bite out of it.  Thank goodness for butter cream frosting.  I just smoothered it and it tasted good but not very pretty, my daughter didn't seem to mind

Birthday Preps for Saturday!

I have made a start on my daughters birthday party.  This years its everything Princess.  I have made these little handbags for my daughters birthday.  They are her little thank you favours.  I am going to fill them with gold coins.

I didn't want to put to much detail on them as when her little friends get hold of them I know the only thing they will want is the chocolate but I thought they looked cute anyway.

I found the template for the box HERE.

TSTR#Week 110 'Beautiful Roses' Part 2

Just couldn't help myself I have ended up making another card for The Shabby Tea Room .  It started out as a new baby card but now its a wedding or anniversary card.

I have used Prima Pixie Glen papers and if you look closely there is a little aqua coloured heart, thought this would be your something blue.  The large flower is made from a mixture of tulle, vellum and organza.

The Ribbon Girl Colour Challenge#18

Another wet day here in France, so I thought I would give another challenge ago over at The Ribbon Girl.  The challenge was to create a card or project using the colours orange, pink and aqua and the inspiration picture below.

Here is my entry:

All the papers and sentiments are from Pink Petticoat. I have tried to make the card very simple. I have just torn the backing papers and added some pink flowers and a sweet sentiment.

Cupcake 188..... In the deep end

Have wanted to make an easel card for a while now and after taking part in the Blog Hop over at Do Crafts I saw one on another members blog so thought I would give it ago and have entered in to the Cupcake Crafts challenge. This weeks challenge is all about structure and depth.

The backing papers are from Prima nature garden and the pocket watch stamp is from Prima Printery.  I have covered the image in clear embossing powder to give it a glazed look.  The butterflies are stamped on to vellum and I have added some pearls.  The paper flowers I have used are to stand the card up. If you look very closely there is some crackle accents added to the tiny flower on the backing paper and I have made the organza flower using a tea light to melt the edges.

Challenge#26 Going Green

Its another fun fortnightly challenge at The Ribbon Reel. The challenge is to create a card or project using a recycled element plus ribbons and to be inspired by the colours below.

Here is my entry:

I tried to use only what scraps I had in my craft stash and my recycled element was the jewelled pick which came from my own wedding nearly 5 years ago from our favours which I made.

You can just see it on the favour to the left of the photo.

TSTR Week#110 'Beautful Roses'

I love Mondays as its the start of a new challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room. This weeks challenge is to create a card or project using aqua, pink, neutrals and flowers and the very pretty photo below for inspiration.

I have decided to do a flower pot shape card.  I have included some Prima flowers which are from the Nature Garden collection.  They are so pretty and love the glitter on the edges.  I have also made some little roses using Spellbinders rose creation die and a scrunched flower using vellum and tulle.  The papers and the little sentiment pick are from Pink Petticoat.

We make a great pear

Hope everyone has had a great weekend!!  Here is my first post of the week.  I went to a friends house to do a bit of crafting but never quite finished the card as we ended up chatting.  So I finished the card over the weekend.

I have used papers from Pink Petticoat called Autumn blossoms which can be found HERE and the digi stamp is also from Pink Petticoat which can be found HERE.
I have coloured the image with promarkers and added a little pearl and some crackle accents to the little flower on the pear and some flowers to finish.

Cupcake 187... Spring is in the air

I finally got my hands on Prima's nature garden A4 paper pad and here is a little card I made with a couple of the papers.  This card took ages as I didn't really want to start cutting up the papers as they are so lovely.
I have also used a flower sentiment from Pink Petticoat and have made a organza flower.  I have also cut round a bird which features on one of the papers and added crackle effects to the wings, which I didn't realise would darken the wings but I like the effect.
The little butterfly I stamped twice onto velum and the little crown I stamped in black and covered in clear embossing and added a pearl.

I have entered this card into the Cupcake Crafts challenge for Spring is in the air.

TSTR Week#108 "Home Grown Flowers"

Welcome to another fantastic week of inpsiration at The Shabby Tea Room.

This weeks theme is home grown flowers and the beautiful photo below for inspiration.....
...and to create a card or project using handmade flowers.

As it is my Mums birthday soon I decided to make her a present and here it is.

I bought a photo frame and removed the glass and made a love heart from paper flowers using Spellbinders rose creation die. I then added some beads to the centres and made some little beaded leaves.

I am a blog candy winner!

I am just so excited.  I won Paula Holifield's blog candy.

When I saw my first name I thought it can't be me, it must be another Dawn.  Then to my surprise when I clicked on the link it brought me right back to my own Blog.

I am so pleased.
