Royal Wedding Anniversary

This week at Daring Cardmakers we are celebrating the Wedding Anniversay of Kate and William.  So this week we would like to see your wedding/anniversary cards.

I have wanted to try this card for ages with the Owl Builder Punch from Stampin up.  I inked up the edges of a pink circle as I wanted it to look like the sun setting.  I then punched out two owls in black and added a little bow to one to look like the lady owl.  For the background I used some core'dinations card stock with a star embossing folder.

I then made a wedding card using the same owl punch but I put them both in little wedding outfits using the other elements from the punch.

I also added the same leaves using a die but cut these ones from glitter cardstock.  I also added some gems to make a tiara, a bit of lace to the edge of the vail and a little necklace.  I love this punch it's so versatile.  You can make the Owls into other things.  If you look at my previous post I have turned them into Disney Villains.

Have a lovely weekend.

Happy Birthday.

My little girl turns 7 today and I would like to wish her a Very Happy Birthday.

I thought I would share with you the cards I made for her.

My daughter loves Disney's Descendants which is now the theme for her birthday.

If you are not sure what The Descendants is its a Disney movie about the villains children.  Its full of singing and dancing and good verses evil.

Here are the cards I created for my daughter featuring her favourite characters.

This is the Evil Queen with her daughter Evie.

And Maleficent with her daughter Mal.

I made all the little characters using the Owl Builder Punch from Stampin Up.

Finally had a good craft day

Well its been a while since I had a good craft day and managed to get crafty without been screamed at from my little one.  Now that he is walking and has new shoes he is happy to amuse himself for a little while giving me time to create which is lovely.

So I had a go at the Paper Sweeties April Inspiration challenge.

I was inspired by the colours and the wreath.

I made a little wreath using die cut flowers from the rose creation set by Spellbinders.  I then added pearls and sequins to the centres.

The sentiment is from a set called Make Today Beautiful from Paper Sweeties.  But hurry its retiring soon.

Back to Basics

This weeks challenge over at Daring Cardmakers is definitely a challenge for me.  This week its all about going back to basics and using primary colours.  As a added challenge if you want to add other colours you must mix them your self.

Here is my card:

I used a die for the train and made it from primary coloured card.  I also made the cab of the train into a little shaker element.  Its was really hard not to reach for other colours but I think the train works really well in these bright bold colours.

I then used a Tim Holtz embossing folder to create the background of cogs and gears.  I thought this card would be great for a little person as I do have a lot of birthdays coming up.

Buddha's Birthday

First of all I would like to wish my Mam a very Happy Birthday.  We have just spent a lovely week in the UK with my parents and family.  We managed to visit lots of different places which included Eden Camp (POW camp) which was fantastic.  My daughter loved Flamingo Land which is a zoo and theme park and we had a visit to Goathland where Heartbeat was filmed along with some scenes from the first Harry Potter film.

I have a couple of cards to post this week.

Over at Daring Cardmakers this weeks its Lythan turn to host the challenge and she would like to see something oriental on your cards as its Buddha's birthday.

I went all girly and pink with my card.  I was going to use red and black but I saw these papers and thought pink and blue would look so pretty.

The papers are from My Time Made Easy called Fun and Fortune.

I then added some little blossoms using the Spellbinders Rose Creation die.

The card below is from the previous week at Daring Cardmakers for the Elemental Inspiration challenge.

It was my turn to host the challenge and in all the excitement of packing for our holidays I forgot to make my blog post.

So from the image above you had to pick at least three elements.

I picked the colours, the silver cake stand, ribbon, stripes and ric rac.

I hope you all have a lovely week and I better get back to my laundry pile.  That's the worst thing about holidays the washing when you return.
